Four out of the six members of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Ghana voted for the policy rate to be cut by 350 basis points to 21.5%.

This was captured in the minutes of the meeting of the MPC.

They cited improved economy, better economic outlook, and slowing inflation as reasons being their position.

However, they expressed worry about the impact of the upcoming utility hikes on inflation.
