Following the massive success of Shatta Wale’s Shatta Fest concert at the Independence Square in Accra, conversations have been rife over the exact number of people who attended the event.
While some online reports suggested crowd figures between 100,000 and 400,000, others questioned the accuracy of those claims since the event was not ticketed.
Addressing the growing debate, Sammy Flex, public relations manager for Shatta Wale, has released an official statement confirming the verified attendance figures. According to him, the team conducted a detailed review “in consultation with credible sources, supported by verified data collected from our team on the grounds at the Independence Square.”
The statement revealed that the official attendance for ShattaFest 2025 stood at 673,000 people, describing it as a “realistic and factual account of the turnout witnessed at this historic event.” Sammy Flex further urged fans and media outlets to reference this verified figure to end all ongoing speculations.
He concluded by thanking Ghanaians and the Shatta Movement for their unwavering support, noting that the record-breaking turnout marked yet another defining moment in the dancehall star’s career.
