The Adisadel College Old Boys Association (AOBA Global) has expressed its profound appreciation to the school’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) team following their spirited performance at this year’s competition, held at the University of Cape Coast.
The Santaclausians advanced to the quarterfinal stage of the prestigious contest, where they faced fierce competition from Prempeh College and arch-rivals Mfantsipim School, with Mfantsipim emerging victorious to secure a place in the semi-finals.
In an official statement titled “Appreciation to Our NSMQ Team and the Way Forward,” AOBA Global lauded the team for exhibiting resilience, class, and the true spirit of Adisadel College despite not advancing further in the competition.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our boys for showing class, resilience, and grit, even though we did not win today’s contest. They wore the black-and-white with dignity and demonstrated the true Santaclausian spirit — fighting to the very end,” the statement read.
The Association also acknowledged the unwavering commitment of quiz coordinators, academic handlers, training assistants, and the entire Santaclausian community worldwide for their support and encouragement throughout the journey.

AOBA Global reaffirmed its vision to position Adisadel College as Ghana’s leading institution in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education — a goal that continues to inspire major investments in the school’s infrastructure and academic programs.
The statement highlighted the recent commissioning of the school’s ultra-modern STEM building, made possible through the benevolence of dedicated alumni. AOBA described the facility as a cornerstone for nurturing innovation, creativity, and scientific excellence among students.
“When we invest in science, technology, creativity, and innovation, we build a stronger foundation for future NSMQ victories and academic excellence,” the statement emphasized.
While acknowledging the team’s early exit from the 2025 edition of the quiz, the Association maintained an optimistic outlook, promising a stronger comeback next year.
“Although the journey ends here this year, our resolve remains unbroken. We are returning to the drawing board with renewed determination. We will analyze, innovate, strengthen our preparation, and do whatever it takes to lift the NSMQ trophy next year.”
AOBA Global concluded by calling for unity and continued support from all Santaclausians, urging the community to rally behind the students and their coaches as they prepare for future contests.
“Let us continue to unite behind our school, our students, and our coaches. With collaboration, support, and belief, we will rise stronger. Up Santaclausians. Up Adisadel College.”
