Nigerian hip-hop duo Show Dem Camp (SDC) hosted an exclusive listening party in partnership with Hennessy to unveil their highly anticipated album, AFRIKA MAGIK. The event celebrated the album’s release with a nostalgic nod to the creative ingenuity of Nollywood legends.
The nollywood themed party celebrating AFRIKA MAGIK carried over from the evening into the early hours of release day with guest appearances from featured artists like Taves, BOJ,Winny, Fave and many more! With signature cocktails from Hennessy titled after songs from the album, every moment was curated to celebrate african magic in its most authentic form. Show Dem Camp previewed tracks from the album and performed select songs live with the featured artists like BOJ, Ajebutter and Winny.
Speaking at the event, the duo shared,
“With this album we are celebrating our roots and the magic of where we come from. We grew up on the nostalgic nollywood vibe that had drama and influenced our version of pop culture and we wanted to channel that energy into something fresh. This album and this party is a reminder that our stories, our sound, and our culture will always be timeless.”
Afrika Magik marks another milestone for Show Dem Camp, as they continue to push the boundaries of African hip-hop ensuring that the stories and sounds continue to resonate deeply with fans at home and around the world.
