A young American lady known on TikTok as @rareneccesity has triggered reactions after announcing that she had quit her job and relocated to Ghana.

The young lady, who came to Ghana for the first time to attend a friend’s wedding, then decided to stay after falling in love with the country.

In a new video posted on her TikTok page, the young lady went to a Melcom Shopping Mall to buy some items.

On arrival at the mall, she was taken aback and wondered where in the US one could actually get groceries, clothes, furniture, and major appliances all in one place.

She went on to state that her experience had rubbished certain narratives and misconceptions they had been made to believe.

“The longer I am out here, the more I realize we were truly lied to. They had items we could not get readily back home.”

The young American lady, who labelled herself as an advocate for exploring the world, urged her compatriots to travel outside their comfort zones and experience other cultures.

“At this point, I love sharing my experiences with you guys. It’s not about inciting any type of debate; it’s about the experience and the fact that you can live a quality life outside of the US.”

The American citizen, who has been living in Ghana for nearly three weeks, disclosed in an earlier video that she was venturing into the shea butter business after relocating.

At the time of writing this story, the video had allegedly raked in over 34,000 likes and 1,000 comments.
