Founder and leader of Parliament Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako Attah, has thrown his full support behind the government’s decision to appoint a Presidential envoy to receive and review national prophecies, describing it as a progressive step toward fostering constructive engagement between faith leaders and the state.

Speaking on Angel TV’s Morning Show, Apostle Amoako Attah said the initiative would give prophets—particularly emerging ones—a safe and formal avenue to share spiritually inspired warnings or guidance without fear of public misinterpretation or harassment. He encouraged prophets to make use of the envoy, headed by Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, whom he praised as “spiritual and insightful.”

“This is not an attack on the prophetic ministry,” he stressed. “It’s an opportunity. Don’t let the devil twist the purpose or distract you from your calling.”

His comments come in the wake of controversy surrounding prophecies linked to the August 6 Obuasi helicopter crash, which claimed eight lives. Some spiritual revelations reportedly surfaced only after the tragedy, sparking debate over whether such messages should be communicated to authorities beforehand.

Beyond the policy discussion, Apostle Amoako Attah also issued a spiritual warning, claiming that Ghana is under a “thick cloud” of unseen battles that affect both public and private life. He urged the public to recognise the role of spiritual forces in national affairs and to pray for leaders, entertainers, and ministers alike.

Highlighting gospel musician Empress Gifty as an example, he said her strong spiritual calling comes with challenges that are often hidden from public view. “People see the fame but don’t see the warfare,” he remarked.

The Apostle’s remarks have sparked conversations about how spirituality intersects with governance, public life, and national well-being—raising fresh questions about how Ghana can harmonise faith-based insights with state decision-making in the interest of the nation’s future.
