The Abuja rap powerhouse has enjoyed a landmark year for his career, amassing close to 40 million streams across streaming platforms, and he’s keeping his contemporaries on their toes with his new offering, delivering bars that speak to the terse realities of life in urban Nigeria.
He first made waves back in 2023 with his breakout single “Declan Rice” after the Arsenal footballer — merging influences from drill, grime, Fela Kuti-inspired Afrobeat and progressive R&B, crafting a unique genre he calls Okporoko Rhythms.
“This cover is bigger than me. It’s for Abuja, for Naija, for every young blood that believed in raw sound before the world tuned in,”ODUMODUBLVCK tells Apple Music.
Alongside ODUMODUBLVCK , Rap Life Radio will also spotlight visionary South African producer Kay Faith who returns with her new single “Online”. Known for her pioneering work that spans Gqom, Hip-Hop and Kwaito, her latest offering is a high-energy, trap-heavy single bringing together Kenji TMZ, Creed Oasis and the fiery Xhosa work of Bhutlegend.
Also featured is Brotherkupa with his new single “Please Don’t Kill My Vibe” featuring Blxckie and K1llbrady.
