The Tidal Rave Festival has just announced that Nigerian Afrobeats star, Ayra Starr, will be performing at this year’s festival to be held in Accra, Ghana.

This marks the first time a major non-Ghanaian artist is set to perform at the festival, setting the stage for what organisers of the festival, EchoHouse, promise will be a complete reinvention of the Wild Card edition.

The “Hot Body” hitmaker officially joins a powerhouse lineup that already features Ghanaian music stars including Black Sherif, Moliy, and Gyakie.

A Wild Weekend

The festival’s 13th year marks a major turning point, moving beyond a single-day rave to a two-day cultural experience designed to redefine the beach festival concept. The festivities will take place on 14th and 15th November at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra.

The excitement begins on Friday, November 14, with an invite-only exclusive pre-party powered by Johnnie Walker. On Saturday, November 15th, the main event will take over, with a full day of music, culture, fashion, food, experiences and several DJ, MC and artists performances, which now has Ayra Starr in its lineup.

The Culture Currents Shaping The Experience

Tidal Rave Festival is a key African youth cultural moment that goes beyond the definitions of a concert. To bring this to life, for the first time ever, the spotlight is shifting to a specially selected team of creatives known as the Culture Currents, who are tasked with shaping the festival from the inside out.

“Over the years, Tidal Rave has been known for delivering the ultimate rave experience. But this year, for the first time ever, the spotlight shifts to the Culture Currents, a carefully selected team of top industry specialists,” said Awo Ampadu Somuah, Event Director of Tidal Rave Festival.

The team is composed of some of Ghana’s most exciting voices—Lisa Quama, Ato Sekyi, Rev Erskine, Samuella Graham, Ellen Osabutey, Makafui Awuku (McKingtorch Africa), Kojo Junior, and Joewackle. They have brought diverse perspectives to elements like fashion, food, culture, dance, storytelling, and environmental sustainability. They are ensuring that we give our Ravers a thrilling celebration that goes far beyond music performances.

This year, Tidal Rave Festival 2025, is turning the beach into one big playground of experiences. Ravers will be able to step into the Afro Exchange by Johnnie Walker, explore the Red Alert Experience by Absa Ghana, catch the adrenaline at the Energy Zones by Red Bull, and celebrate culture with the Black Star Experience (an initiative of the Office of the President of Ghana). In addition, Ravers will also have the opportunity to take their shot at something big with The Luckiest Raffle, where the surprises are set to be wild as they get.
