A young Ghanaian boy, who agreed for his elder brother to check his 2025 BECE results, is trending online.
The viral video, sighted by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page of @perry.strife, showed the moment the JHS graduate entered the house only to be told the bad news that he did not excel in the BECE.

His facial expression changed immediately after he was told he had bagged an aggregate of 45 in the exam.
His twin sister, who also sat for the BECE, similarly failed to secure a single-digit aggregate.

Another video showed him checking his results with a visibly sad look, expressing disapproval when he realised that he was being recorded.

WAEC releases 2025 BECE results
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) announced on August 23, 2025, that the provisional results of the 2025 BECE had been released.
In its statement, WAEC disclosed that 177 students had their entire results cancelled.
Additionally, candidates from 119 schools had their subject results cancelled, whereas subject results from 87 schools were withheld pending investigations.
The council also warned JHS graduates not to fall prey to fraudsters promising to upgrade results for a fee.
At the time of reporting, the boy’s video had raked in over 4,000 likes and 90 comments.
