In a video shared online, the unnamed man claimed that he had visited Ghana five times; however, the fifth time became the first time he travelled alone.

The man disclosed that his previous trips were with tour groups. He explained that though those trips were enjoyable, he wanted to explore the country outside the structured environment that came with organised tours.

According to him, from the first time he set foot on Ghanaian soil, he had felt a strong sense of belonging. He claimed that Ghana gave him the feeling of being at home, and happily, his solo trip confirmed it.

In his words:

“I did a solo trip because from the first time I set foot on Ghanaian soil, I knew that it was home. But I wanted to experience it outside of the confines of a group.”

What moved him most, he recounted, was the reception he received at the airport during his solo visit. He disclosed that multiple people greeted him warmly, and the interaction with them transformed what he had once called a fantasy.

“And so everything that I have heard about the hospitality of the people and the staff here… I’ve only been here a week, they have been instrumental in confirming that my intentions to return are on the right track,” he said.

“When I walked out of the airport, it wasn’t a fantasy. It was actual people who were saying, ‘Welcome home, brother.'”

Nigerian lady shares cultural observations about Ghana

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that a Nigerian TikToker shared her cultural observations from Ghana, sparking debates with remarks on food, behaviour, and social norms.

She claimed Ghanaians swapped the naming of soup with stew, painted national flag colours everywhere, and minded their business even when problems occurred publicly.

Her comments about phone snatching, teenage motherhood, and crime triggered strong reactions from many who dismissed her views online.
