Leicester City has been dealt a heavy blow with the passing of Bradley Varnam, the club’s long-serving stadium PA announcer.
The news came on August 11, 2025, when the club confirmed that Bradley had died at the age of 56 after a short illness.

In a heartfelt statement on their official website, Leicester shared:
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our long-serving Stadium PA Announcer, Bradley Varnam, who has died at the age of 56 following a short illness.”
For more than 25 years, Bradley’s voice became a defining part of the matchday atmosphere.

Who is Bradley Varnam?
He began his role in 1997 at Leicester’s former home ground, Filbert Street, before continuing at the King Power Stadium from 2002.
Through moments of triumph and heartbreak, his tone carried the emotions of the entire Leicester community.

He was there when the club lifted the Premier League trophy in 2016 and during the difficult seasons that tested the team’s resilience.
The club described him as “a familiar and much-loved voice to Foxes fans for over 25 years”, adding that his presence will be missed by players, staff and supporters alike.
Bradley leaves behind his wife, Sarah, his children, Zach and Megan, and many friends who will cherish his memory.
Leicester’s tribute closed with the words, “Rest in peace, Brad – and thank you for everything.”
