The 2025 MTV “VMAs” are turning up the heat with even more global superstars confirmed to hit the stage. Conan Gray, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, and Tate McRae have joined the ever-growing lineup of performers for this year’s show, hosted by LL COOL J. The event will air LIVE coast-to-coast from New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday, September 7 at 8PM ET/5PM PT on the CBS Television Network, simulcast on MTV, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.
Conan Gray
The multi-platinum singer-songwriter will make his main stage debut with his hit single “Vodka Cranberry” from his fourth studio album Wishbone, released earlier this month. Gray first appeared at the “VMAs” in 2022, performing on the Extended Play stage as the 2020 MTV PUSH artist.
Doja Cat
The GRAMMY®-winning, five-time “VMAs” winner returns with the first-ever televised performance of her brand-new single “Jealous Type.” Doja Cat, who previously hosted the 2021 show and delivered a viral medley in 2023, promises another unforgettable moment on the iconic stage.
Jelly Roll
Genre-blending sensation Jelly Roll is set to make his performance debut while competing for his first-ever Moon Person. He’s nominated in four major categories including Best Alternative, Best Country, and Best Hip-Hop. Last year, fans saw him appear alongside Eminem during the 2024 “VMAs” show open.
Post Malone
After seven years away, Post Malone will return to the “VMAs” stage for the first time since 2018. The GRAMMY nominee and six-time “VMAs” winner is celebrating 20 career nominations this year, including Best Collaboration with Blake Shelton for “Pour Me A Drink.”
Tate McRae
Rising pop superstar Tate McRae is making her highly anticipated main stage debut while celebrating four first-time nominations. She’s up for Song of the Year with “Sports Car” and Best Pop Artist, among others.
In addition, nominations for the show’s Social Categories — Best Group and Song of the Summer — will be announced on Friday, August 29.
