The maiden edition of the Crypto Focus Conference (CFC 2025) made a striking debut at The Signature Apartments in Accra, bringing together crypto enthusiasts, traders, investors and thought leaders for an inspiring and highly engaging event.

Organized by the Crypto Focus Community and founded by blockchain advocate Henry Wiafe Ampadu, popularly known as Hama, the conference carried the theme “Educate, Empower, Elevate.” The event also marked the official launch of the Crypto Focus book and the formal unveiling of the community’s ambition to close the knowledge gap between Ghanaians—and Africans at large—and the rapidly evolving world of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

From the opening session to the final remarks, attendees were taken on a wide-ranging exploration of the future of money. Sessions covered blockchain fundamentals, crypto investing, financial literacy and the global opportunities available within the digital economy, while debates, panel discussions and interactive Q&A segments provided participants with practical insights and a chance to shape the conversation.

The conference lineup featured speakers who offered diverse perspectives on the subject matter: Ernest Elorm Appau addressed the evolution of money; Angela Caesar traced the history of crypto; Princess Quarshie offered a teen’s perspective on the space; Kwame Stalwart examined blockchain use cases; Stefanos Parpas explained how to use crypto on the HFM platform; Hakeem Issah spoke on cryptocurrencies and increased adoption; and Harriet Nartey made a compelling case for why women should dominate in the crypto world.

In his keynote, Henry Wiafe Ampadu explained the vision behind the initiative, saying that “Crypto Focus is not just a book or a conference; it’s a movement,” and stressing that the mission is to equip people with the knowledge they need to participate in the global digital economy, create wealth and share that knowledge with others. Other guest speakers and panelists expanded on this theme by offering concrete guidance on crypto investing, decentralized finance (DeFi) and the practical steps needed to make Web3 meaningful on the African continent.

As part of its long-term agenda, the Crypto Focus Community announced plans to establish Crypto Focus Clubs in senior high schools and tertiary institutions across Ghana, an educational push intended to nurture the next generation of innovators and investors by exposing students early to blockchain concepts and financial literacy. The organizers also revealed an ambitious roadmap for continental expansion, with planned launches in countries including Nigeria, Liberia, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda and Uganda, among others, signaling an intent to scale the movement well beyond Ghana.

The conference concluded with a clear call to action for attendees and the public to join the movement, purchase the Crypto Focus book and become active members of the community. Organizers said plans are already underway to make the Crypto Focus Conference an annual event, with the broader aim of positioning Ghana as a regional hub for crypto education and innovation.
