The family head of Daddy Lumba has gone public in the wake of recent events surrounding the demise of the Ghanaian highlife legend.
In an interview with Kontonkyie TV on YouTube, Kofi Owusu offered clarity, stating that there was no bad blood between Priscilla Ofori Atta, alias Odo Broni, and Akosua Serwaa, the woman Daddy Lumba first married.

The elderly man, who seemed very sombre during the interview, stated that he recognises both Odo Broni and Akosua Serwaa as widows of the late musician.
Kofi Owusu went viral after he made certain controversial comments about Odo Broni in an explosive interview shortly after the news of Daddy Lumba’s death reached him.
In that interview, the head of Daddy Lumba’s family, Kofi Owusu, accused Odo Broni of being very disrespectful to the family.
He then warned that if the grieving widow tries to exclude the family from the funeral preparations or handle everything herself, it would not be tolerated.
Details of Daddy Lumba’s passing
The death of Daddy Lumba was made public on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in a press release by his lawyer.
According to the statement, Daddy Lumba had been receiving treatment at the Bank Hospital for some time, where he passed away.
