Daddy Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa, has earned praise on social media for her looks after photos emerged online.

The photos popped up online after Serwaa made her first appearance at the East Legon residence of Lumba following his passing.

Daddy Lumba passes after a short illness

Daddy Lumba, the legendary Ghanaian musician born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025.

The news of his passing, which had been trending online for hours, was confirmed by Lumba’s legal counsel, Fati Ali Yallah, who released a statement on behalf of his family.

According to the statement, the Highlife legend had been taken ill and was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital.

The confirmation threw Ghana into a state of mourning, with prominent Ghanaians, including President John Mahama, extending their condolences.

Since Sunday, July 27, many prominent Ghanaians have been visiting Lumba’s house to offer condolences to the family.

Daddy Lumba’s first wife arrives in Ghana

The latest to arrive at Lumba’s residence is Akosua Serwaa, his beloved wife of over 35 years, who is domiciled in Germany.

She was spotted in Lumba’s house in the company of a businessman and friend to the late music icon, Kennedy Agyapong of Kenpong Travel fame, on Friday, August 1, 2025. Serwaa reportedly arrived in Ghana the previous night.

In a photo shared by Bighscout Media, Lumba’s first wife was seen dressed in mourning cloth (black kaba and skirt) with a black headgear to match. She posed with a young man.

Ghanaians hail Daddy Lumba’s first wife’s beauty

After seeing the rare photos of Daddy Lumba’s first wife, many social media users have been impressed with her good looks. Those impressed by beauty noted that Akosua Serwaa’s age, considering that she is a peer of her late husband, makes her even more beautiful. Others also pointed to the fact that Lumba had another wife in Ghana called Odo Broni.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the late Nana Ampadu’s wife, Joyce Ampadu, had spoken highly of Daddy Lumba, following the musician’s passing.

Madam Joyce, in a video, described the late Lumba as a kind person who gave her money for upkeep after her husband’s passing in 2021.
