Daddy Lumba married and had children with two women, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni, during his life.
Following his death, supporters of both women have initiated a contentious social media battle over who should be recognised as the singer’s legitimate widow.
Odo Broni appeared to engage in the feud when she nodded along as a ‘relative’ disparaged Akosua Serwaa, while an alleged sister of Daddy Lumba’s first wife also slammed her in a viral video.

Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin addresses widow’s beef
In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh on the page KontonKyi Media on September 9, 2025, Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin called on the two widows to stop beefing.
Owusu said the family would decide who is the legitimate widow, adding they could decide that Akosua Serwaa, Odo Broni, or even both would be recognised as the widow during his funeral.
He said they already faced challenges at Daddy Lumba’s one-week observance due to the acrimony between the two women and pleaded with them not to disgrace their late husband.

“We’ll meet the two women and the family elders [to decide]. We all came together for the one-week observance, but we met a lot of problems from the camps of the two widows. So for now, they need to give us some information to help us settle the issue. We didn’t know they were going to fight over this,” he said.
Owusu also called on Odo Broni and Akosua Serwaa to stop their associates from passing disparaging comments about each other.
“Now what we’re hearing is that this one has a gang, and the other one also has a gang. We don’t have any gang. So if you have employed gangs to fight for you and are disgracing your late husband, then it’s to your own shame,” he added.
