Stacy’s mother’s grand entrance

The solemn one-week ceremony took place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra and was attended by several dignitaries.

Nana Afia Agyeiwaa arrived dressed in a rich black cloth, styled in traditional mourning fashion, symbolising respect for the late music icon.

Her graceful appearance commanded attention as she walked into the grounds with the aura of a true royal.

An aide respectfully held a large umbrella over her head, shielding her from the scorching sun, while her subordinates followed closely behind, emphasising her distinguished presence.

The umbrella also symbolised royalty since many royals use it. Since it was a sad occasion, a black umbrella was used.

Her calm yet dignified steps drew admiration from onlookers, many of whom captured the moment on camera.

The arrival of Stacy Amoateng’s mother added a layer of tradition, culture, and reverence to the memorial service, highlighting the significance of the occasion.

In the video that went viral on social media, she was spotted greeting the breveaved family as well as Daddy Lumba’s surviving wife, Odo Broni.
