Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, sent fans at the Accra Sports Stadium into a frenzy when he made an unexpected appearance on the opening night of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Fresh from his glamorous white wedding with Chioma Adeleke, the Nigerian hitmaker touched down at the nation’s Wembley on Friday evening dressed casually but with his usual star presence.

He was there for one reason — to support his close friend and collaborator Stonebwoy, who arrived at the stadium in his .

The bond between the two artists has long been evident.
Stonebwoy had travelled to the United States last month for Davido’s wedding, and OBO returned the gesture by showing up for the Ghanaian musician’s halftime performance during the clash between Hearts of Oak and Hohoe United.

Hearts of Oak struggle again on opening day
On the pitch, Hearts of Oak failed to break their frustrating streak on the league’s first day.
The Phobians were held to a goalless draw by debutants Hohoe United, who battled with ten men but still created the better chances.
