In Africa’s rapidly evolving fashion landscape, one name continues to stand tall as both an innovator and a captain of industry: Elijah Badmus, founder and CEO of Elimes Outfit. With a vision rooted in excellence, discipline, and Pan-African pride, Badmus is redefining luxury menswear for executives across the continent — and building what many are already calling a premium fashion empire.
Early Journey & Inspiration
Elijah’s journey began in university, where he noticed something others overlooked — many lecturers and executives, though accomplished in their fields, didn’t dress sharply.
“This wasn’t just about clothes,” he recalls. “It was about solving a confidence and perception gap.”
He began offering not just garments but also convenience and flexible payment options, proving that style could also be smart business.
By his final year, Elijah had already created his first collection and printed his first lookbook. Orders poured in, referrals spread beyond his school, and colleagues from other countries began requesting pieces for their loved ones.
“Beyond passion, I realized this was a multibillion-dollar industry,” he says. “That’s when I began to envision stores across Africa and beyond, partnerships, and a structured empire. I shifted from thinking like a tailor to thinking like a Pan-African fashion house.”

Building Elimes Outfit
Transforming Elimes Outfit from a small brand into a continental force was no easy feat.
“I had no mentor, no guide,” Elijah admits. “Resources were limited, recruitment was tough, and delivery across borders was a serious challenge.”
Through grit and faith, however, he built an organic growth strategy — reinvesting earnings, improving processes, and gradually scaling operations. By studying the industry’s strengths and weaknesses, he developed systems that allowed Elimes Outfit to keep improving with every step, overcoming obstacles with resilience and innovation.
The Empire Across Africa
Today, Elimes Outfit has established strongholds in Bamako, Libreville, Abidjan, Conakry, Bangui, and Ghana, with flagship presences in Accra, Bamako, Cape Town, Conakry, Nairobi, and Abidjan.
A proud milestone came with the opening of the flagship store in Libreville, where high-profile executives and senior government officials now shop for their bespoke kaftans.

Pan-African Leadership
“Sincerely, all I see is an evolving fashion-preneur on a mission to maximize the potential of the industry. I dream of a day when fashion entrepreneurs have access to advanced technologies, structured distribution systems, and an industry where SMEs can thrive.
My work inspires other designers because it proves that African fashion can be both premium and scalable. When we pioneered fast bespoke delivery and entered 14 countries, it showed that our industry has no borders. You can start small and build a Pan-African empire.”
By raising the standards of service and excellence, Elimes Outfit has opened doors for others to aim higher, innovate boldly, and believe that Africa can set the pace in luxury fashion.
