The legendary singer passed away at the Bank Hospital, located in Accra’s Cantonments, after reportedly battling a brief illness.
Daddy Lumba’s death goes down as one of the most heartbreaking news events to hit Ghana’s entertainment scene in recent times. Before his passing, the highlife icon had graced a few stages, which would go on to be remembered as his final performances.

In a recent video from one of his UK concerts, a beautiful and unforgettable moment captured a heavily pregnant woman, identified as Natasha Adwoa and known to be a top fan of Daddy Lumba, who joined him on stage to perform despite her condition.
Natasha gave birth to a healthy baby boy a day after the concert and named the baby Daddy Lumba, in honour of the music legend.
According to her, there was no way she could miss the concert, even while nine months pregnant.

She is known to be a die-hard fan of the highlife legend, often referring to him as “Ghana’s greatest musician.” In the emotional video, which is now considered one of Lumba’s final stage moments, Natasha is seen dancing joyfully to one of his classic songs while spraying some pounds on him in admiration.

Following the delivery of her baby, Daddy Lumba reportedly sent her a heartfelt voice note, acknowledging her presence at the show and offering his blessings to her and the newborn.
In the voice note, Daddy Lumba was heard saying:
“Sweetheart, please, God bless you for showing up at my concert with your 9-month pregnancy. It’s by the grace of God and the love you have for me. The biggest joy is that just a day after the concert, my boss told me you had delivered safely. All I can say is thank God. May God let the baby become someone great in the future and turn him into a superstar in Ghana. God bless you and the child.”
