PSG beat Tottenham to win Super Cup
The French powerhouse added their first silverware of the new campaign by defeating Europa League holders Tottenham on penalties, overturning a two-goal deficit in normal time.
Micky van de Ven struck six minutes before half-time, and Cristian Romero doubled Spurs’ advantage just after the break.
PSG, who also featured in this summer’s Club World Cup, struggled for much of the match, with Luis Enrique’s men failing to impose themselves until the dying minutes.
Late goals from Lee Kang-in and Gonçalo Ramos forced a shootout, where Dembélé, quiet for most of the game, produced a brilliant assist for Ramos and calmly converted his spot-kick.
The Parisians then held their nerve in the shootout, edging past Tottenham 4-3 to claim the trophy, per Sports Mole.

2025 Ballon d’Or nominees announced
The 30-man shortlist for the 2025 Ballon d’Or has been unveiled, featuring some of the biggest names in world football vying for the game’s most prestigious individual honour.
The 69th edition of the France Football award will be held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on September 22, where the men’s winner will be announced alongside other honours, including the Ballon d’Or Féminin, Kopa Trophy, Yashin Trophy, and Gerd Müller Trophy.
