Controversial Ghanaian TikTok personality Prince Ofori, popularly known as Fante Comedy, has spoken after he was released on bail on Monday, August 18, 2025.

In an interview with blogger GH Brain, the popular NPP social media activist expressed excitement at regaining his freedom after spending time in police custody for a few days.
Fante Comedy shared that he had not repented and was still going to be very vocal about national issues on social media despite his recent predicament.
He stated that he was just a regular TikTok personality and that he had never committed any serious crimes or embezzled state funds like a politician.
The NPP social media TikTok activist also vowed never to stop criticising President John Dramani Mahama and his administration, stating that he had no regrets.
He said:
“Who do people want me to talk about? I will speak about him (President John Mahama) until my demise. I have nothing else to say.”
Fante Comedy also denied that he was mistreated by the Ghana Police Service while he was in their custody, stating that he enjoyed the best conditions.

Fante Comedy and others’ recent arrest
Fante Comedy and the North Tongu constituency Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yayrah Abiwu were arrested by personnel from the Ghana Police Service for allegedly threatening the life of President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama.
The two individuals had allegedly made the threats while discussing the Obuasi helicopter crash during a TikTok live session.

In a statement released on Facebook, the police indicated that Ofori and Abiwu were assisting with ongoing investigations, as they continue efforts to apprehend other individuals believed to be connected to the threatening video.
After spending days in police custody, Yayrah Abiwu was granted bail for GH₵ 150k with three sureties at the Accra Circuit Court.
On Wednesday, August 13, an Accra Circuit Court granted Fante Comedy bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties, two of whom must be gainfully employed. He was also required to surrender his passport to the police until further notice.
The NPP social media activist remained in police custody for days after the ruling, ostensibly due to his failure to meet bail conditions. He was finally released on bail on Monday, August 18, 2025.
