It was a strike that sealed a hard-fought 1-0 victory and also saw him named Man of the Match.
Picking up the ball out wide, Fatawu’s only thought was to find the far corner as he cut in from the right.
A sharp jink was followed by a thunderous left-footed effort that flew past the goalkeeper.

The goal drew a wave of praise from Issahaku’s Ghana teammate, Mohammed Kudus.
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman said:
“There was very little danger when Fatawu collected the ball right on the touch line, but he carries such a threat when he dribbles and commits defenders and managed to create a yard of space before bending the ball beautifully into the far corner, for what was a sensational, match winning goal!”
According to the Championship, the Black Stars forward topped the fan vote ahead of Derby County’s Callum Elder, Watford’s Nestory Irankunda, and Coventry City’s Victor Torp.
Once a prodigy at Dreams FC, Issahaku has emerged as a key figure for Leicester City this season, appearing in every Championship match so far.
He has made an impressive start to the campaign, scoring twice and providing an assist in just five games.

Reflecting on the award, the Ghana international described it as a special honour and was quick to credit his teammates for their role in his latest achievement.
“I’m really pleased and very proud to have won Goal of the Month,” Issahaku said via Ghanasoccernet.
That goal was special, especially after missing so much football last season,” he said after receiving the award.
“It wasn’t just down to me, though; the whole team played well that day. Charlton are a good side, but we fought hard and got the three points.
“Scoring that winner was a reward for all the effort. I always try to give everything, so it means a lot when I manage to score and help the team.
“Thanks to my teammates, the staff, all the fans – their belief drives me on. Let’s keep going and hopefully there are lots more moments like this ahead.”
