The FBI has announced that it is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, 31, was shot dead on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, while speaking at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was seated under a tent when a single gunshot struck him in the neck, sending students fleeing in panic. Videos of the incident showed shocked onlookers screaming as blood poured from his wound.

In its statement, the FBI urged anyone with information, photos, or videos connected to the shooting to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit evidence through fbi.gov/utahvalleyshooting.

President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death hours after the incident and paid tribute to him on Truth Social. “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Following the announcement, the White House ordered flags across all federal buildings and diplomatic missions worldwide to be flown at half-staff until sunset on September 14, 2025.

Kirk, co-founder and CEO of the youth conservative organization Turning Point USA, was a prominent figure in the Trump movement, building a strong following among students nationwide. His death shocked political leaders across the spectrum and reignited concerns about rising political violence in the United States.
