An intelligent University of Ghana graduate has triggered an emotional reaction after he joined a popular TikTok challenge online.

The video, which has since gone viral and was sighted by YEN.com.gh, showed the young man seated with his beautiful University of Ghana graduation medal around his neck.

He then opened his certificate folder and showed off his University of Ghana certificate.

Details on the certificate showed that the young man, Obed Boateng graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Philosophy.

He was later heard stating that he was ready for work, provided it was legal and would provide him with an income.

The emotional 23-second video, which had racked in over 1,000 views and 23 comments, was captioned:

“In Jesus’ Name, we will not join the pool of unemployed. If you believe, say Amen.”

Obed is among the fresh graduates who completed their national 2024/2025 service year and turned to TikTok in the online challenge to alert employers about their availability and readiness for the world of work.

These job seekers proudly display their certificate folders, highlighting the schools and universities they attended, after making a heartfelt plea to employers to hire them.

Military training for NSS personnel begins

Meanwhile, the National Service Authority received 135,990 submissions from 122 tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 service year.

With this number, the military training for national service personnel will begin on August 31, 2025.

Obed receives encouragement from netizens

Social media users who took to the comment section of the video have shared their opinions, with many commending Obed for taking the bold step to let employers know that he is a job seeker.
