Ghanaian lawyer Adwoa Safo and her family are in pain as they mourn the loss of their father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
The former member of parliament for Dome Kwabenya was inconsolable as family and friends visited them at their private residence.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka was born to Opanin Yaw Safo and Obaapanin Yaa Amoanimaa (all deceased) at Bom, near Kensere in the Amansie East district in Ashanti Region of Ghana on 26th August 1948.
He established the Kantanka Automobile in 1994 to design, assemble, and produce vehicles for African conditions.

In 1969, he started a prayer group, Kristo Asafo Mission and formalised into a church around 1971.

Adwoa Safo has released a press statement to confirm the death of her dad, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanta, online.

“With profound sorrow and deepest grief, the Safo Family and the Kristo Asafo Church announces the peaceful passing of Ghana’s beloved man of God, the greatest technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist and industrialist popularly referred to as “Kantanka, the African Star”.
“Our dearest Father passed away peacefully on Thursday 11th September, 2025. Romans 14:8 states; “For if we live, we live to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord”.
“Apostle Safo was a true genius, the beacon of hope for many, a father to the fatherless. Ghana has indeed lost a galant son and a true legend.”
“His unique persona was shaped by his life struggles, dreams, resilience, courage, determination and dedication to His calling and conviction.”
“During this time of grief, we humbly request that the general public respects the privacy of the family and loved ones.”
“The burial and funeral arrangements shall be duly communicated in the coming days. Signed. Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo (Esq)”
Osebo mourns the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo
Ghanaian fashion icon and business owner Richard Brown, popularly called Osebo, has paid tribute to the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka in a viral video.
The style icon visited the family of the late leader of the Kristo Asafo church to mourn with them after losing their father figure and mentor.
Osebo didn’t disappoint with his look at the star-studded event as he modelled in a stylish deep-plunge neckline shirt and matching black trousers.
