Former Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor paid a heartfelt visit to the President John Mahama’s private residence to mourn with him following the death of eight individuals in the helicopter crash.

The former head of state made this gesture of solidarity and statesmanship on Friday, August 8, 2025, to offer his condolences following the tragic helicopter crash that occurred at Adansi Obuasi.

During the visit, former President Kufuor met with President Mahama, Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and First Lady Lordina Mahama.

Pictures of Mr Kufuor’s visit to President Mahama’s residence, were shared on social media by Professor Opoku-Agyemang.

In the caption accompanying the photos, the Vice President expressed gratitude to the former Ghanaian Head of State for his support.

“In a gesture of solidarity and statesmanship, former President John Agyekum Kufuor paid a visit to President John Dramani Mahama and the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, at their residence to express his condolences and support during this difficult time. I joined them and other government officials to receive him and thank him for his thoughtful gesture,” she wrote.
