A Ghanaian man took to social media to list the names of countries in Asia and Oceania that allow holders of a Ghanaian passport to visit without a visa.
Some of these Asian countries allow no-visa entry due to strong diplomatic ties, economic benefits such as tourism and trade, and mutual security agreements.

In a TikTok video spotted by YEN.com.gh, the young man, identified as Dr Ben, while listing the Asian countries that welcome Ghanaians with no visa, also mentioned the maximum lengths of stay that are allocated.

Visa-free policies are often based on reciprocity, where a country grants visa-free access to another country’s citizens in return for the same treatment. This indicates a high degree of trust and partnership between the two nations.
Some of the countries he mentioned were the Philippines and Singapore, which each offer a maximum of 30 days. He also added Micronesia, a country spread across the western Pacific Ocean, with the same 30-day maximum visit.
He mentioned Asian countries such as Bangladesh and Kiribati, which grant Ghanaian passport holders a maximum stay of 90 days each. For Fiji, he disclosed 4 months.

Ghanaian student shares US school application mistakes
In a similar story, a young Ghanaian lady who relocated to the United States has advised graduates back home on what to know when applying to schools in the US.
Known on TikTok as @akuainamerica, she highlighted four key mistakes prospective graduate school applicants should avoid.

Her first point was that applicants need to overcome the misconception that they must have everything figured out before starting the admission process.
Her second piece of advice was to understand the importance of the Statement of Purpose (SOP) and the mistakes people often make when applying to graduate schools.
She emphasised the need for applicants to be genuine in their Statement of Purpose and not try to sound like everyone else.
In her words:
“When you write your SOP, don’t try to sound like everyone else. Write like you’re talking to someone who genuinely wants to understand your story.”
The lady then focused on the third issue, which centred on reaching out to professors at prospective institutions as early as possible.

US introduces new citizenship test for Ghanaians
YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that the US has introduced a revised citizenship test, effective for all applicants filing after October 20, 2025.
The test will now include 128 civics questions, with applicants required to answer 12 correctly out of 20 questions to pass, though the passing score remains at 60%.
Additionally, the US Department of State announced that the 2027 Diversity Visa Lottery programme will no longer be free.
