On Saturday, August 2, 2025, hundreds of Ghanaians and non-Ghanaian Lumba fans thronged the Independence Square to mourn the legend.
First videos from the event show almost all attendees clad in either black or red attire, wearing sad looks.
In one of the videos making the rounds on TikTok, some die-hard Lumba fans were spotted holding torchlights and candles while making their way to the event grounds.
Charles Kwadwo Fosu’s children were also spotted at the event. Daddy Lumba’s children were seated in the front row of the candlelight vigil.
They were all dressed in black as they observed the proceedings of the ceremony held to celebrate the Makra Mo crooner.
