Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has publicly honored his late friend Dr Murtala Mohammed, calling his death a profound loss.
In a social media tribute, the Tamale South MP expressed deep sorrow: “The world feels a little less bright without you, my friend. It’s hard to say goodbye.”
Iddrisu credited Dr Mohammed with redefining friendship, writing: “Thank you for being the amazing friend you were; my life was a true blessing because of you.” He emphasized enduring gratitude for lessons in genuine companionship, noting their bond transcended politics.
The minister vowed to keep his friend’s legacy alive, concluding: “Though you are gone, your spirit will forever echo in our hearts. Rest in peace, my dear friend. You are gone, but never forgotten.” Dr Mohammed, a respected figure in Ghana’s political and social circles, was widely known for his advocacy and public service.
