TN Africa, a fast-growing digital media platform dedicated to telling authentic African stories, is set to host the first-ever Digital Journalism Summit 2025 on October 22, 2025, in Accra.

The one-day event, which will take place at the British Council in Accra, is themed “Shaping Africa’s Future Through Climate Journalism” and will convene over 150 journalists, newsroom interns, communication students, and emerging digital storytellers for an evening of dialogue, mentorship, and learning.

As the first summit of its kind in Ghana, the initiative aims to inspire a new generation of journalists equipped to report on climate issues, sustainability, and development through compelling digital narratives.

“African journalism is evolving rapidly, and digital storytelling is central to how our narratives are told,” said Senanu Damilola Wemakor, Ghana Representative and Lead Convener for the summit.

“This summit will empower young journalists to shape conversations that matter, stories that not only inform but also inspire change.”

The summit will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive sessions with influential voices from the media, climate, and policy sectors. Participants will also enjoy networking opportunities with editors, mentors, and industry leaders shaping the future of African journalism.

The Newsroom Africa summit will also host interactive booths, including The TN Africa Take, where participants will share their thoughts on climate and media topics throughout the event.

Workshops on digital storytelling tools, fact-checking, and multimedia reporting will offer participants hands-on experience, while networking sessions will link them with industry mentors

Powered by partners including Special Ice, Mingobox, Publiciti Africa, PR Africa, and ICS Africa, the TN Africa Digital Journalism Summit seeks to build bridges between creativity, technology, and impact storytelling.

By creating a platform for collaboration and skill development, TN Africa hopes the Summit will become a cornerstone event for nurturing Africa’s next generation of digital media innovators.
