Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has finalized a €63 million transfer from West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur, signing a six-year contract through 2031.
The 24-year-old becomes Ghana’s most expensive footballer, surpassing Thomas Partey’s previous €50 million record.
Kudus acknowledged his former club via social media, stating: “Thank you for the warm seat through it all.” During his West Ham tenure, the midfielder contributed 19 goals and 13 assists across 80 appearances after joining from Ajax in 2023. His career trajectory began at Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy before moves to FC Nordsjælland and Ajax.
The transfer positions Kudus for a potential debut in Tottenham’s UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain. His move signals Tottenham’s strategic investment in African talent amid the Premier League’s summer recruitment drive.
