The singer in a video making rounds on social media accused the president and his top officials of neglecting him amid his constant appeal to gain their attention.

However, he has seen nothing in the form of compensation since the president assumed office on January 7.

In the video, Akwasi Nyarko maintained that while he wasn’t pleased with the helicopter crash in the Ashanti region, he foresaw more misfortunes occurring in John Mahama’s administration.

“You haven’t seen anything yet. This is only a plane crash. The next tragedy will be more devastating,” he said.

“After I composed a song for John Mahama, I frequented his house many times, trying to gain his attention. I’ve made several videos, but Asiedu Nketiah, Sammy Gyamfi, John Mahama’s wife and others have ignored him. I am suffering. I can’t pay my kids’ school fees. I’m always crying in my heart,” he added.

The crash on August 6 claimed the lives of three military officers and five government officials.

The fatalities included Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence, Dr Alhaji Murtala Muhammed, MP for Tamale Central and Minister for Environment, Science & Technology, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr. Samuel Sarpong (Vice Chairman of the NDC), and Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate, Sqn. Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer, Twum Ampadu and Sgt. Ernest Addo Mensah.
