Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has urged Ghanaians to take spiritual prophecies seriously.
This call comes in the wake of the tragic helicopter crash which claimed the lives of five government officials and three military personnel.

“Let’s take spiritual prophecies seriously. In this grieving, always for our good and continue to thank him for giving us this precious life for the service rendered to us, and we pray that he finds a good place in Jannah,” he said.
The Speaker of Parliament made these remarks when he led a parliamentary delegation to the residence of the late Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology.
Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central in the Northern Region of Ghana, lost his life in the tragic helicopter crash which occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Speaker Bagbin expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of eight lives and prayed for eternal rest for their souls.
The incident also claimed the lives of Defence Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Deputy National Security Coordinator, Limuna Muniru, Former Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Samuel Sarpong, and Former NDC Parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East, Samuel Aboagye.
The crew members who also lost their lives are Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
