The Thanksgiving service was held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Christ the King Catholic Parish in Accra, drawing a large gathering of mourners, dignitaries, and family members of the departed.
The billionaire entrepreneur and founder of Engineers & Planners was seen warmly chatting and embracing his sister, Mrs. Hawa Mahama Agyeman, who attended the service alongside her husband, Mr. Agyeman. The helicopter crash
The August 6 tragedy, which occurred at Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region, claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians, including Tamale Central MP Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Defence Minister Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Limuna Mohammed Muniru, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Sarpong, Deputy Director General of Ghana’s Disaster Relief Agency Samuel Aboagye and three Ghana Air Force officers.
The nation was left in mourning as news of the crash spread, with tributes pouring in from across the political, social, and military landscape.
