A Ghanaian living in Reading, United Kingdom, has shared his thoughts on TikTok star Osanju’s illness and death, recounting how they got to know each other.

Nana Aidoo, widely known as Dr Ntakra Ohene, said Osanju contacted him via social media after he publicly shared his journey as a person battling with cancer.

In a Facebook video, Dr Ntakra Ohene said Osanju sent him messages three different times before he responded to any of them.

“When I first made my cancer condition public, many people insulted me. However, Osanju messaged me till I finally responded. I responded to him after his third message to me.”

Dr Ntakra Ohene said during their initial chat, Osanju told him that he had been battling with leukaemia since birth.

“Osanju feared speaking openly about his medical condition. He did not want people to judge him.”

“But I kept encouraging him to speak his truth since one needs all the support in fighting such illnesses,” he added

Dr Ntakra Ohene said he until Osanju’s demise, he used to send him money to support him in his medical treatment.

He described their conversations as deeply personal and said Osanju’s demise had made him sad. Dr Ntakra Ohene believed that Osanju wouldn’t have died if he had lived abroad.

“If he had been living abroad, I believe he wouldn’t have died.”

Osanju dead months after his mother’s burial

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Ghanaian content creator Osanju Frimpong Elvis, popularly known as Osanju, died on Monday, September 1, 2025.

The TikTok star’s death happened only five months after Osanju’s mother, whose death was confirmed on January 20.

Osanju’s death stirred sad reactions on social media, with many Ghanaians expressing disbelief over the nature of his sudden demise.
