Inter Milan won for the first time since their opening match of the Serie A season with a 2-1 victory over Sassuolo at San Siro.
Inter took an early lead through Federci Dimarco after Petar Sucic’s unselfish assist set up the Italy left-back
And the home side looked to have secured three points when Carlos Augusto’s shot trickled in off the unlucky Tarik Muharemovic for an own goal with nine minutes of the match remaining.
But Sassuolo halved the lead quickly when Walid Cheddira, on loan from Espanyol, scored his first goal for the club after a smart exchange of passes with Domenico Berardi
Inter had the ball in the net again within a minute, but Davide Frattesi was flagged for offside and they held on to win for the first time since they beat Torino 5-0 on 25 August.
Inter are 10th in Serie A on six points after four matches while Sassuolo are 14th with just three points.
