Malike, dressed in a black and white top and sporting a wide smile, was seen in her father’s arms as he prepared to go to work.
A politician and farmer, John Dumelo doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Malike, looking all grown, asked her father an important question as he smothered her with kisses and hugs.
“Daddy, where are you going? Are you going to see John Mahama?” she said.
The adorable exchange between the duo warmed hearts on social media, with many praising the growth of John Dumelo’s daughter, their bond and her command of English in a pretty foreign accent.
John Dumelo’s children
Ayawaso West Wuogon MP John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya, have welcomed three lovely children – John Jr, Malike, and Demi Jacob Kudzo.
John Jr was born in 2018, Malike in 2021 and their most recent addition in August 2024.
On August 26, 2025, John Dumelo’s wife took to her official Instagram page to announce that she and her husband had secretly welcomed their third child a year ago.
“A year ago, God blessed us with you, Demi Jacob Kudzo Dumelo. Our campaign baby, our smart bubbly king, our dimpled cheeks baby, our peaceful baby…….Your arrival has brought us immense joy, happiness, and laughter.” she said.
The post also contained photos of the new family addition, who was celebrating his first birthday.
