Several Ghanaian prophets have risen to prominence in recent days following the Obuasi helicopter crash that killed eight individuals.
The eight were aboard an Air Force helicopter headed to Obuasi when they crashed into the Sikaman Forest in Adansi Afuokrom.
All passengers on board – five government officials and three Air Force personnel – were killed.
Several prophets, including De Lighter Roja, Fire Ogya, and others, claimed to have foreseen the events.

They also issued other warnings and demands to the government to avert further impending doom.
Asiedu Nketia blasts doom prophets
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito, slammed the actions of such prophets.
He said their constant doom prophecies, designed to extort certain favours from the administration, would not work.
Asiedu Nketia said, regardless of what the prophets claim, they would continue to work towards delivering on the better Ghana agenda with no fear or favour.
