A journalist with JoyNews, Carlos Calony, has been detained by National Security operatives while covering the demolition of a warehouse owned by businessman Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan.
The incident took place on the Spintex road in Accra on Wednesday, July 30.
Mr Calony was at the scene documenting the demolition process and the growing tensions between civilians and men in military uniform, who were allegedly involved in aggressive acts against some members of the public.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
It is still unknown what triggered the confrontation, but the development has raised fresh concerns over the safety of journalists in the line of duty in Ghana.
