The chief executive officer of the National Film Authority (NFA), Kafui Danku, Jackie Appiah, Portia Asare and other stars have gone with their latest group photoshoot.

This came after Kafui Danku and her team successfully hosted the maiden edition of a National Film Dialogue in Accra, geared toward addressing issues in the Ghanaian movie industry at the Cedi Conference Centre.

Kafui Danku launches National Film Dialogue

Speaking at the star-studded event, Kafui Danku, under the theme “Accelerating Industry Development,” she highlighted the importance of inclusive decision-making in policy development.

She added that the NFA would organise training programmes to equip the youth and veterans with the necessary skills in different areas of scriptwriting, sound design, and visual production to produce Netflix-worthy movies.

Kafui Danku donates GH¢100,000 to film fund

The celebrated actress Kafui Danku also disclosed that the Ghana Academy of Film and Television Arts (GAFTA) has donated GH¢100,000 toward a long-proposed film fund.

She called on investors and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry to support the initiative and revive the dying movie industry.

Some dignitaries and prominent actors, including the Deputy Creative Arts Minister, Yussif Issaka Jajah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, Director of Diaspora Affairs Kofi Okyere Darko, Fred Amugi, Roselyn Ngissah, Nicki Samonas, Bill Asamoah and Martha Ankomah.
