In an interview with Derrick K. Abaitey on Konnected Minds, Kennedy Agyapong said an entrepreneur must first be passionate about the business they’re starting.
The first two businesses Kennedy Agyapong mentioned are selling building materials and real estate.
“If you study the market in Ghana, you’d see that everybody who gets money wants to build a house. So, building materials. Whether you’re selling paint, brushes, cement, iron rods, plumbing equipment, and the like.”
On the real estate sector, Kennedy Agyapong shared aspects of the business that are profitable.
“Selling it is good, but renting it is not. You don’t make money from rent. Those who are buying or building to sell will make money, but those buying to rent will not make money.”
He explained further that he has over 277 houses in Ghana, but does not make much money from them. However, he is keeping them because he wants to give them to his children.
Kennedy Agyapong indicated that every other business can be done depending on the entrepreneur’s interest.
“It depends on what you also want to do. Some businesses come with interest; if you don’t have the interest, you may not be able to do it well.”

“I wish he knew the impact he’s made by granting this interview. Hmmm, I’m in the NDC, but I believe we need to give the presidential nod to him someday. It’s hard to trust because Akuffo Addo was so convincing like this before he became president, but regardless, I believe we need to make him the president, and if he fails, we all call for alternative governance. One difference from the democracy we are experiencing in Ghana.”
