Kenpong Football Academy has cemented its growing reputation as the go-to youth football academy in Ghana following an impressive European training tour.
The Academy’s U18 side faced top Belgian opposition in three high-profile friendlies, defeating the U-18 side of Club Brugge 3-1, drawing 1-1 with KV Mechelen, and narrowly losing 3-1 to KRC Genk.
For Academy founder and bankroller, Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong), the results showcase the Academy’s technical strength and ability to compete against some of Europe’s best youth systems.

He told Myjoyonline.com on arrival that there are a lot of positives to take from the tour into the future. First, the experience and exposure build up the team’s technical and tactical horizon, and there is the added collaboration for player and technical exchange programmes.
Indeed, four of the Academy players will be returning to Belgium for brief training attachments with Club Brugge in what is to be nurtured into a yearly affair.

He said there was no way their hosts were going to miss the great footballing potential that abounds in Ghana, and were happy and ready to help groom them into future greats.
Celebrated coach, J.E. Sarpong, coupled with KV Mechelen’s Eric Asante, collaborated harmoniously to offer the required training and polishing for the Academy during the tour.

In Coach Sarpong’s assessment, this was a highly successful tour that exposed the players to international playing standards and regimes.
The Academy plans a similar tour of Spain come December or early January 2026, and according to Kennedy, “the arrangements are being finalized” as we speak.”

More than just football, Kenpong Academy has committed to a holistic approach—shaping players with discipline, leadership, and academic excellence. With world-class coaching, modern facilities, and a vision to nurture stars of tomorrow, the Academy is giving Ghanaian talent the platform to dream and achieve.
