When it comes to love, relationships, and family, everyone has their own beliefs about what works best. For award-winning Ghanaian singer Dennis Dwamena, popularly known as KiDi, love is about loyalty, faith, and commitment to one person.

In a recent interview on Asempa FM’s Showbiz Review, the musician shared that he believes in monogamy. He emphasized that he does not support the idea of polygamy.

“I grew up watching my mum and dad build something beautiful together. They’ve been together for years, and that has shaped how I see love and family,” he said.

The ‘Touch It’ himaker explained that his “one-man, one-woman” philosophy comes from his upbringing and Christian values, which guide his understanding of love and partnership. As a Christian, Kidi made it clear that his perspective is a personal belief, not a rule he expects others to follow.

“Muslims are allowed to marry more than one; Christians are not. I cannot say what’s right or wrong for anyone else. What works for one person might not work for another. For me, as a Christian, I believe one man, one woman is right,” he added.

The 2022 Telecel Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year   further noted that growing up in a stable and loving home taught him the importance of loyalty, dedication, and partnership. These are values he intends to carry into his own future relationships. For KiDi, love is not about perfection or popularity. It’s about building something genuine and lasting, much like the relationship he admired between his parents.
