Celebrated Ghanaian singer King Promise took a swipe at Manchester United fans after visiting Chelsea’s trophy museum in London.

King Promise sees Chelsea’s trophies

In a video he posted on his social media stories, King Promise, a staunch Chelsea fan, could not hold back his excitement.

Taking a selfie video with the trophies, the Favourite Story crooner jabbed Manchester United Fans who had either not won any of the trophies in the background, or it had been years since they won those prestigious trophies.

In the video, he zoomed in on the Champions League trophy and talked about how the silverware shone.

Speaking in Ghanaian pidgin, King Promise mentioned that it had been a long time since Manchester United had gotten hold of the Champions League trophy.

“Yeah yeah. You see as edey shine? Wana see some keep. Wohu bi akyɛ. United fuo,” he said happily in the video.

Reactions to King Promise’s video

Many people took to the comment section to talk about how awed they were by King Promise being a Chelsea fan.

Manchester United fans took to the comment section to blame their goalkeeper, André Onana, for being the reason the team had not won that trophy in years.

Other Chelsea fans could not hold their excitement when they saw King Promise’s video. They bragged about being the pride of London, among other accolades.

King Promise Trains with Ex-Chelsea Star

YEN.com.gh reported that Ghanaian singer King Promise sparked laughter online after a video of him training with former Chelsea and Morocco star Hakim Ziyech went viral.

The 2025 TGMA Artiste of the Year joined Ziyech for a high-intensity jogging session during one of his visits to London. However, the singer appeared visibly exhausted as he tried to match the footballer’s pace, leaving fans amused.

The pair share a close friendship, with Ziyech occasionally hanging out at King Promise’s studio sessions in London. Their workout moment gave fans a glimpse into the lighter side of their bond.
