Legendary Ghanaian musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, passed away on July 26, 2025.
In the aftermath of his death, footage emerged showing the dilapidated condition of the Kumasi-based childhood home of his first love, Theresa Abebrese.
Kotoko Residence looked dejected and dilapidated, with the gate appearing old and rusty, its walls and compound looking crumbled and overran with weeds.
Daddy Lumba dated Theresa during their time together at the Juaben Senior High School, and she was reportedly instrumental in helping him travel abroad for the first time.
The singer later claimed in interviews that he regretted his inability to return to Ghana to marry her, and immortalised her in his song, Theresa.
