Rev. Kennedy Okosun, Executive Chairman of KRIF Ghana Ltd. and Founder of the Krif Foundation, on Thursday paid a courtesy call on the
Ghana News Agency (GNA) and the Graphic Communications Group to announce a change in the date and venue of the upcoming Regal Influence Summit.
Rev. Okosun stated that the three-day summit—initially scheduled for November 28–30, 2025, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel—has been rescheduled to January 23–25, 2026 and will now take place at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Ghana’s premier five-star luxury hotel.
He explained that the visit was necessary to formally update media partners and strengthen ongoing collaboration ahead of the event.
According to Rev. Okosun, the postponement follows the official announcement of the state burial and funeral rites for the late Former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, scheduled for November 28, 2025. He described the former First Lady as a “distinguished matriarch whose lifelong service, courage, and devotion to nation-building remain indelibly written in the history of Ghana and Africa.”
“As an institution that celebrates legacy leadership, moral influence, and national transformation, the Regal Influence Summit holds in the highest esteem the towering contributions of the late Former First Lady,” Rev. Okosun noted. “Her advocacy for women’s
empowerment, pioneering public service, and unwavering commitment to justice and social progress exemplify the very essence of Regal Influence—leadership that commands respect and shapes generations.”
He added that, in consultation with key stakeholders, dignitaries, and participating delegations, the Foundation resolved to move the summit to January 23–25, 2026 to allow the nation and continent to honour her memory with the reverence it deserves.
The Regal Influence Summit, organized by the Krif Foundation in partnership with diplomatic missions, media organizations, and women’s empowerment networks across Africa, is themed “Commanding Influence,
Shaping Nations.” The gathering is expected to be one of Africa’s leading convenings of presidents, first ladies, policymakers, business leaders, investors, and faith-based influencers.
In a meeting with Beatrice Asamani Savage, Director of Editorial at GNA, Rev. Okosun emphasized that the summit aims to elevate a new generation of ethical, visionary, and impact-driven leaders across the continent.
“The summit is designed to empower influential individuals, facilitate cross-sector collaboration, and establish sustainable legacy and mentoring platforms,” he said.
The event will feature presidential and first-lady dialogues, leadership
masterclasses, high-level keynote sessions, a gala night, and legacy awards. Organizers also anticipate key outcomes including a continental communiqué, the launch of mentorship and impact-fund initiatives for the youth, and social-impact programs covering widows’ support, scholarships, braille training, and interfaith dialogue.
Asamani Savage expressed appreciation for KRIF Ghana’s longstanding support to public institutions, including GNA. She noted that the agency has benefited from donations of high-tech fireproof safes—among them ROC Diplomat units valued at over GH₵50,000.00—used to secure documents and office equipment.
“The ROC cupboard comes with digital
and mechanical locks, and it has greatly improved our document safety,” she said. “Krif Ghana has been a dependable partner. They supported our Tema office with furniture and created a platform for policymakers to engage the media. Their interest in the public good is evident.”
She assured Rev. Okosun that GNA remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote national development and leadership excellence.
