Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly called Lil Win, has filed a lawsuit against Abrempong TV for the unauthorised broadcast of his movie.

On September 10, 2025, the serial entrepreneur released a statement on Instagram through his lawyer.

In the legal document, Lil Win‘s lawyer accused the media outlet of broadcasting his award-winning movie, A Country Called Ghana, without permission.

According to the statement, the talented actor demanded GH¢1 million as compensation for pirating his movie.

Lil Win’s lawyer, Enoch Sebastian Owusu, demanded that the media house cease any further broadcasts of the said movie.

“We have the instructions from our client to demand from you as we hereby do for the following… That you pay an amount of one million Ghana cedis (GH¢1,000,000.00) as compensation for the unauthorised use, broadcast, and infringement of our client’s copyright in the film,” the statement read.

“That you cease any further broadcast of the subject movie or any of our client’s productions without its consent.”

“Should you fail to comply with the above request within 14 days, we will give our client’s firm instruction to institute legal proceedings against you without further recourse to you,” it added.

Lil Win apologises to colleagues over outbursts

In another video, Lil Win apologised to his colleagues over his recent outburst on social media.

He apologised to his colleagues for insulting them and remorsefully stated that it was due to the pressure from promoting his self-financed new movie.

The celebrity dad added that he was caught up in the moment and asked for forgiveness.

“I am begging my loved ones. You all saw how I was suffering before I premiered my movie. You had people not showing support, but who were quick to say negative things about me whenever my issues came out. This is what made me react that way because there was pressure on me.”
