Residents of Kwahu Obomeng, where Dr Omane Boamah hails from, are set to organise a vigil for the late Defence Minister.

A video sighted by YEN.com.gh shows residents erecting a stage as they prepare to honour the memory of their late kinsman.

A native of Kwahu Obomeng in the video shared how the community has been deeply affected by the passing of Mr Boamah.

“The people of Kwahu have lost a gem. We are deeply hurt. This is the first time a man from our side has been honoured but God knows best. May his soul rest in peace,” the native said in a video.

The vigil is set to take place at Adom Park in Obomeng on August 11, 2025. The event’s time has not been announced.
