The beautiful moment was captured when the former Vice President visited President Mahama to express his condolences following the tragic Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) helicopter crash.

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his team visited President John Dramani Mahama’s residence to offer their heartfelt condolences to him following the loss of five government officials and three military personnel.

The former Vice President announced his visit on his Facebook page, with heartwarming photos. He also noted that he visited the residence of Dr Omane Boamah to offer his condolences to his bereaved family.

“This afternoon, I paid a visit to the President, H. E. John Dramani Mahama, at his residence, to express my deepest condolences to him, as the nation mourns the loss of our compatriots.

“I also visited the family of the late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah to console them. May God, the Almighty, comfort the bereaved families,” he said.

The former Vice President was captured hugging the President and offering some comforting words to him.
